This year
EFIMED annual progress meeting and scientific seminar, which is hosted by
SAFRI (South-Western Anatolian Forest Research Institute), will be organised together with the Enlarged Executive Committee meeting of
FAO Silva Mediterranea and a side event hosted by
AIFM (International Association Mediterranean Forests) and
Plan Bleu. One of the outputs of the week will be a declaration on Mediterranean forests to be presented at the
Union for the Mediterranean.
The Mediterranean Forests Week will bring together the forest research community and relevant stakeholders (policy-makers, managers, forest owners’ representatives, NGO’s, etc) to improve the science-policy dialogue.
