Practical information
VENUE
The EFIMED Annual Meeting will take place at the premises of the
Hotel Porto Bello. This hotel is located 25km west of Antalya airport and 8km from Antalya city centre.
How to reach the venue?

In front of the hotel there is a bus stop of the urban bus Otobüs Durağı.
A taxi from the airport and back will cost around 25 EUR. This service is possible to arrange via the travel agency when making the reservation.
ACCOMMODATION
The organisation has contacted the local travel agency Iz Travel and agreed a special price for all the participants (60€ single room/night) at the same hotel of the venue. We encourage participants to make their own room reservations by contacting info@iztravel.com
TRAVEL TO ANTALYA
Antalya lies on the bay with the same name, surrounded by the Taurus mountains. It is a modern city attracting many local and foreign tourists with its many cultural, historical and natural attractions.
The city of Antalya is served by the
Antalya Airport (IATA: AYT) is 10 km east of the city center. There are direct scheduled and charter flights connecting Antalya with several European cities. Domestic flights from the
Istambul International Ataturk Airport (IATA: IST) are also frequent and are carried out by
Turkish Airlines and other companies.
Passport and Visa
It is needed to bring your passport with a validity of more than 90 days.
Every foreigner needs a tourist visa. You can get this visa at your arrival to Istambul airport, at the appropriate office close to the passport control. It has a cost of aprox. 15 EUR (depending on the country of origin).
Participants should look for their visa needs for enter into the country with enough time. Should you need a letter of invitation for issuing, please contact Ms. Mercedes Rois.
Currency
The currency used in Turkey is the Turkish Lyra (TL or TRY). 1 EUR is approx. 2,15 TRY. The conversion rate can be checked e.g. OANDAor INFOREURO
Travel and health insurance
Medical assisstance and travel insurance should be arranged by the participants.
