Summer schools

EFIMED organises and supports the development of specific courses to upgrade the skills of researchers coming from the southern and eastern countries of the Mediterranean basin.

EFIMED offers grants for Short Scientific Visits for researchers from any Mediterranean forest research and education organisation. These Visits provide an unique opportunity for interested candidates to get involved in international level forest research and research co-operation.

Award to the best doctoral thesis on Mediterranean forests

EFIMED enhances and supports young scientists working on Mediterranean forest research, who excel in their fields.
This prize is awarded to a junior scientist who has made through his/her doctoral thesis a significant contribution to advancing Mediterranean forest science on one of the topics prioritized in the Mediterranean Forest Research Agenda. The work should be innovative and original, and deal with forest science or adjacent scientific disciplines of interest for forestry

Mediterranean Model Forests Grant

The MMFN, CESEFOR and EFIMED promote and support research in or about Mediterranean Model Forests. The scientists with the most excellent proposal will be granted with a Study Visit to the selected Model Forest to implement it.
